Volunteer Opportunities

WE NEED YOU!
The Penn State All-Sports Museum offers a variety of ways for interested students, alumni, and the general public to become involved.

Our volunteers provide operational support at the front desk and in the galleries, greeting visitors and enhancing their museum experience. They also assist with the success of program events like our gameday Cub Zone activities, annual Trick or Treat Night, and graduation photos. For more information regarding becoming a volunteer, please contact the Museum at psusportsmuseum@psu.edu.

THE ALL-SPORTS MUSEUM DOCENT CORPS
The All-Sports Museum's docents are a special kind of volunteer. They are deeply knowledgeable of the history and traditions of Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics and are thoroughly trained to lead educational tour groups – children and adults – through the museum’s galleries and special exhibits, as well as Beaver Stadium. Those interested in becoming a member of the docent corps must go through a training program, pass a sports content knowledge exam, and conduct a mock tour. Museum docents are required to volunteer for at least 25 hours per year, out of the hundreds of hours of tours and programs we run annually!

If you have questions about becoming a docent, please contact our Programming and Education Coordinator, Lew Lazarow, at psusportsmuseum@psu.edu
