Dance Marathon
The Penn State Spirit Program raised over $74,000 to help children and families fight pediatric cancer. The funds are grouped together with other Penn State organizations and in 2022 totaled over $13.7 million. Annually an event known to Penn Staters as "THON" occurs on the University Park campus of Penn State. "THON" is a 46 hour Dance Marathon. The Penn State Cheerleaders had 4 team members participate in the 46 hour event. In the past 50 years THON has donate over $203 million to the Penn State Children's Hospital.
Thank you to our Alumni, fans, and clinic participants for helping us raise these funds.

UCA Cheer Camp
Each year, the Cheerleaders travel to the Universal Cheerleading Association's summer Cheer Camp. While at camp, cheerleaders learn various stunts, cheers, dances and sidelines. Camp is also an opportunity for bonding among both old and new team members. Finally, this time gives the cheerleaders experience at competing as they are striving to win such awards as the most collegiate team, best cheer award, best fight song award and many more. Even more important is the fact that Penn State continually wins many of these honors from year to year, making them both a well-recognized and accomplished team.

Sporting Events Games
The largest responsibility that the PSU cheerleaders may have is representing our university at sporting events. Throwing up stunts, tumbling down the field, yelling out cheers, dancing and running the famous Penn State flags are all directed at getting the crowd involved with the game. Even when the games are not going as well as they may have hoped, cheerleaders at Penn State keep a smile on their face and give it their all until the end. The sports that the cheerleaders most often attend are football, volleyball, hockey, and basketball.

Nationals
Two and half hours of practice four days a week, advanced tumbling skills, endurance, dedication, and athleticism. That's what it takes to be a National Champion and the Penn State cheerleaders are looking forward to one day having another 1st place team trophy. That day could be in the near future with the well-rounded and talented individuals that make up the 2022-2023 Coed and All-girl teams. In the past, both teams have proved successful.
