Athlete Performance

The Penn State Performance Enhancement Department is committed to providing the highest level of athletic preparation for all intercollegiate student-athletes. Our primary goal is to maximize the physical and mental potential of each individual student-athlete throughout their collegiate career at Penn State.
  • Complete sport specific strength and power training to be conducted in one of Penn State University's designated 6 intercollegiate weight training facilities.
  • The Penn State Performance Enhancement Department consists of 15 full time strength and conditioning professionals that are certified by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCCa) and/or the national Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).
  • All strength staff members maintain complete CPR/AED and First Aid certifications through the American Red Cross.
  • Multiple indoor and outdoor athletic department movement training venues to accomplish proficiency in speed improvement, agility, plyometrics, conditioning/fitness levels, and vertical and horizontal explosiveness training.
