Lionettes Elite Dance Camps, June 22 or July 13
Grades 9 and up
 
The Penn State Lionettes Elite Dance Camp is designed for those dancers who may be interested in pursuing dance in college or professionally.  Individuals and teams are encouraged to attend. The day camp runs from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
 
This dance intensive camp will focus on the following skills.

  • Leg Extensions 
  • Calypso Leap
  • Side Leap (Second leap)
  • Ring leap 
  • Switch Leaps (arabesque and tilt)
  • Triple and Quad pirouette
  • A la seconde turns/Fouette turns (advanced sequences)
  • Advanced combinations/routines (jazz, hip hop, contemporary, kick and pom)


Fee:  $125 (includes instruction, camp shirt, no housing)
***DAY CAMP ONLY/NO HOUSING

Meal: NOT provided.  Bring your own snacks and a water bottle to refill during camp. Water will be provided.
 
Where:  The clinic will be conducted at the White Building, which is located on Shortlidge Road. You will be contacted by e-mail concerning any changes or cancellation.
 
When:
June 22 - 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
July 13 - 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
 


Junior Lionettes Dance Camp, June 23
Grades 4-8
 
The Penn State Junior Lionettes Dance Camp is designed to provide one-on-one skill instruction to dancers who are interested in continuing to enhance their technical ability. Current and former Lionettes will instruct classes in pom, jazz, and hip-hop dance styles. Campers will learn routines performed by the Lionettes at Beaver Stadium and the Bryce Jordan Center. The day camp runs from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Fee:  $90 (includes instruction, camp shirt, no housing

Meal: NOT provided.  Bring your own snacks and a water bottle to refill during camp. Water will be provided.

Equipment: 
Participants should bring dance shoes (jazz, contemporary or ballet shoes recommended) and appropriate workout clothing. Leave rings, jewelry, and valuables at home. Personal equipment will NOT be shared.  Also, participants should bring a water bottle to refill during the clinic.
